Welcome to the Lord’s Church
Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains Church of Christ. We are a fellowship of believers who share a common love and commitment to being Christians who glorify God in our lives and worship. Our only creed is the Word of God and we strive to guide our personal lives, our worship, and structure of church organization based upon that alone. We are served by elders, or spiritual shepherds, selected to lead our church family as we live for Christ and reach out to a struggling world. As we do that, we meet each Sunday for worship and Bible study and on Wednesday night to deepen our relationship with God through study and fellowship. We have many programs that are designed to reach the lost and serve the needs of our community and others around the world. This website will allow you to see the various opportunities provided as you seek to serve our God.
Worship
Our worship is Scripture-based and keeps with the tradition of the New Testament church. When you visit our services, you will experience heart-felt praise to God and His Son through a cappella singing (without instrumental accompaniment), a Bible-centered message from one of our ministers, an opportunity to commune with Christ as we celebrate the feast of the Lord’s Supper, participate in sharing in the missions of the church through giving back to God what He has placed in our hands through our financial offerings, and bowing our hearts before Him in prayers. At the end of each worship period, anyone who desires to share a need for prayer, either publicly or privately, or wants to be added to God’s family through a surrendered faith and baptism will have that opportunity.
